The inlay and the linen laminate should be flush with the recessed area. You could maintain any value to the chip by not defacing it, and then just put a label over the inlay. When you want to sell the chip 20 years later, just remove the label (you're not going to damage the inlay), clean it up, oil the chip and hope that light hasn't created two shades of color on the chip

Just found out today that the Westward Ho casino is going to close down. That means - get your chips from there soon, they will soon be obsolete! Glad I got my $0.50 Paulsons while I did!

I thought that the hotel was in the process of being sold? While that would most likely mean a new rack, but not that they're closing down. Where was this announcment about them shutting down. And more importantly where am I gonna get a 3/4 pound hot dog for a buck and a half?

Personally I like simple. I know that some would not like these, but I do. I think that there are cooler looking simple inlays out there. With that said, if I could get my hands on this same type of chip in several denoms, I would be all over it. Even at more than 50¢/chip

I heard about Westward Ho on The ChipBoard at this link:

As for the hot dog, you can get indigestion just about anywhere else.

Hmmm... very interesting. Doesn't sound terribly strategic unless there is already a new owner who wants the place revamped quickly over a few days to open in time for the Thanksgiving weekend crowd the following week.

They must have just unwrapped the new chips. Not a mark or scratch on them - best of all he got them in quantity!

The guy said he got them off the blackjack tables there. He must have brought back over 40 chips!

The chips look the same as they have for the last several years (design wise) but they were all pristine! Definitely worth your time to head over to the Westward Ho and scoop up a stack of pristine Paulsons for 50 cents each!!!

I took home 100 x 50 cent Paulson Chips from the Bicycle Casino that I use for my $50 NL game in conjunction with my Pharaohs.

You may want to sell these.

$5 a chip????

Actually - wait a bit. If they do go out of business then you could possibly get more for them.

WTF?!

I have a few of these I could sell, but $5.50 seems pretty steep and I wouldn't want to gouge anyone here.

I'll let them go for $4.50 each. Special price for Chiptalk members only. PM me if you're interested.
