Give the dealer a $25 chip and ask for $20 worth of 0.50 pieces maybe? If you value those chips at $1 each you just made $15! |

Chips: 1,728 | | Huh? I don't get it? If anything it is more efficient for the dealer since they won't have to deal with quarter coins that have been used in the past, and it's faster to grab one 50¢ chip that 2 little quarters. Time is money, and more hands per hour means more house percentage per hour, but not an increase in the house percentage.
And in the major casino centers it's not likely that you're going to find a '21' table that has less than a $5 minimum, and $10 is more likely at many of the larger casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. It's been a while since I've been to Reno, but I understand there are still some places that still have $1 '21' and 25¢ Craps (Bonanza, I think?). Quote: |

Chips: 111 | | | I think he was talking about negating the house advantage over the player by us taking the 50 cents chips, not referring to via it is better for the house to have 50 cents chip or not.
While it is true the higher end places, like Bellagio, Venetian, etc. do not have $5 tables, many on the strip still do.
BTW, does anyone know what the lowest wage is at the Westward Ho? I have seen it many times but have never actually play there. |

Then again, if you sit and play BJ and lose this can end up costing you much more...remember that you need to win these paulsons with a BLACKJACK hand...was that right, chipper?
Sweet score on the new paulsons! |

| That's what my friend told me, however just yesterday on another chip board, I was told that someone else WAS able to acquire some from the casino cashier - so it may be WHO you know. May be worth a try to get some from the cashier, but my instinct tells me that they don't want to see a lot of these walking out the door.
Supposedly they rebuy frequently from Paulson so keep looking for "fresh" chips. |

Chips: 1,728 | | More likely I suspect it is just a matter of who is working at the cashiers cage and also how you approach them. One has to keep in mind that people do not generally buy chips from the cage in a Nevada casino; they just cash them in there. If you're already playing in the pit, you could probably ask the pit boss or your casino host to see if you can get a rack of those chips. Generally they're pretty accommodating, especially if you're a regular or at least a repeat customer, or maybe even just a paying customer . Quote: |
