Casinos between CA and AR?

I'm headed on a round trip from CA to Arkansas.
Other than CA and Nevada, are there any casinos on my way?
Texas? Oklahoma? Colorado? Utah? Arizona? New Mexico? Kansas?

Sure as heck not good ole Mormon Utah. (No offense to my many wonderful Mormon friends, Jack and otherwise.)

New Mexico has a bunch of Indian casinos close to the interstates, and I think Arizona, too. Not sure about any remaining Colorado casinos. Try http://www.chipguide.com/

Have a great trip! We made a similar trip last summer and it was terrific.

Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Louisana, and Mississippi. There's just the short dry spell between Nevada and Colorado as you cross Utah. Unfortunately there aren't any in Arkansas either.

I can tell you that Colorado has 4 towns that have casino gambling.

The main towns are: Cripple Creek, Central City and Black Hawk. These are old mining towns up in the mountains. Cripple Creek is about 30 minutes west of Colorado Springs. Central City and Black Hawk are about 35 minutes west of Denver up I-70 - exit at the Hidden Valley exit.

The other gambling is from the Indian casinos. One in particular is in a town just off of the 4 corners area. There is one other Indian casino but I've never been there and can't recall where its at.

Low stakes in all cases. $5 maximum bet. There are slots, black jack, poker and a variety of other table games. Casinos are open from 8am to 2am every day.

Thanks for the responses and links!

I haven't planned a detailed trajectory yet -- it's a vacation after all, so we plan a pretty flexible and laid-back time.
We'll probably head out on Sunday... 1st stop is Reno. I've GOT to see if I can get some of those Ore House chips! That means the path to AR will probably go through Denver. We'll take the I40 route coming back (or maybe Route 66?), returning through Santa Fe and Las Vegas.

So...
If any of you guys want chips from some particular casino anywhere along that route, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for the invitation. I'll be near Mena, which looks to be about 150miles away. The game sounds like fun, but I probably won't be able to make it. If the logistics start to look more promising, I'll PM you.

In Reno:
Sadly, the Ore House is no longer. There's just a bar there now. The Ore House has been closed for several years. I was really lookiing forward to getting some of their chips, too.

But I have picked up a few chips:
Silver Legacy: These are my favorites so far. Nice new Paulsons.
Harrah's: Bud Jones. I got enough to shuffel 'em.
Eldorado: more Bud Jones
Cal Neva: yet more Bud Jones

I've also scored some silver strikes at Harrah's and Silver Legacy.

I may have to go back to Silver Legacy and get a rack of those Paulson $1 chips. They're sweet.

Sorry -- pictures will have to wait for another day.

CHIP 25,000.00 LOGO, HOUSE MOLD, RADIENT RED W/WHITE/BLURPLE
CHIP 100,000.00 LOGO, HOUSE MOLD, GREY W/ROYAL RED/BLACK
CHIP 1,000.00 RACE & SPORTS, HOUSE MOLD, DAY BLUE W/FUSCHIA/BLURPLE
CHIP 5,000.00 RACE & SPORTS, HOUSE MOLD, HOT PINK/BLURPLE/FUSCHIA
CHIP 100.00 BACCARAT, HOUSE MOLD, BLACK W/APRICOT
CHIP 500.00 BACCARAT, HOUSE MOLD, FUSCHIA W/DAY GREEN

I'll understand if you can't get a hold of the 100K chip, but the rest shouldn't be a problem.

Enjoy the trip!
