Pink chips

I'm somehat obsessed with pink chips. Don't know why, but when I take a souvenir chip from a casino, I prefer it to be pink whenever possible, even when it isn't really pink.

For instance, when I saved some chips from the QM2, they were all "pink" chips ($2.50), although their pink chips are actually powder blue.

I just had a session at Foxwoods playing BJ, knowing that it's a losing game, just so I could collect some pinks. Personally, I think it's their prettiest chip.

Any other prefered collectable denoms?

I collect mostly $5 reds. But I'm a sucker for a nice pink chip, especially classic Paulsons. For some reason, there are lots of good ones on the Gulf Coast.

If you want any of these, just let me know and I can swing by sometime to get them.

I'm sure you know that most casino $2.50 are pink. So anywhere you go just ask for $2.50 chips. I prefer $5 Le Holiday Chips. I also like Green but that gets a little expensive.

By far the most favorite pink $2.50 chips I own are the famous Harrah's Dry Heat series of chips. A few years ago Harrah's in Laughlin, NV came out with 5 different $2.50 and $5 chips featuring a skeleton character.

Just in case the images don't show up here - they can be viewed on this page:

The Riviera also uses solid pink Paulsons (hot-stamped ) for 50cent chips.

$5 red are my favorite. Actually, I hate the pink chips -- usually 50 cents. Just personal preference.

I like purple chips but unfortunately I don't get them too often

Yeah, I was going to say that contextually, I also think purple chips are good looking, but I'm not really in any position to be collecting them.

Even my avatar: I was on that ship, and having an enormously good run at blackjack. I liked the black chip, and I could have even saved one and left with more cash than I started with.

Still, it seemed awful wasteful to have a C note tied up in a souvenir like that, so I just stuck the macro filter on my 8MP camera and took a few pictures instead.
