Chips: 829 | | | Complete - Vegas chip hunt pictures. (lots of pictures) Here are the chips my parents brought back from Vegas. My parents said that most places were very pleasant to deal with and most looked for good chips for them. I think my favorite of the bunch is the Mandalay Bay chip. For the Chipco chips I like the Luxor and Paris chips. For the ABS/Bud Jones style chips I like the Stardust and The New Frontier. For some reason I like the two brown chips, Orleans and the Barbary Coast. I like the Wynn chips and the $5 Caesars. I love the MGM Grand inlay and the simplicity of the Riviera. For the inlay's I like the smooth ones over the textured. For the shock of all shocking news I think I like the light blue $1 chips the best. There are not any real horrible looking ones but I do not care for the Flamingo, The Venetian, Hilton and Sahara. I would take the Imperial over those.
Below are chips with different graphics on both sides. - 1. Paris [list
6499af8b]This chip is a Chipco and is in very good shape. It was designed with the white ring we know and love. It has 2 dark blue spots with the $1.00 on the spot. This chip does not seem to have any texture.
2. Rio - This is a classic Paulson chip. One note about this chip is that inlay is smooth.

3. Circus Circus - This chip is a Chipco and is in very good shape. This chip has a very light texture to the surface. There are 3 red spots which of course do not line up with the face spots. In the white spots on the edge ther is just a 1.

4. Caesars Palace Gaming Token - This is a metal $1 gaming token. Smaller than the clay chips and very heavy.

Below is a very good new 5$ chip from Caesars Palace I am putting this at the top becasue the mold does not look like it was fully pressed on one side. This looks like it is a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is textured. - This side seems fine

The column on the top of the picture does not seem to have the deatail that the others do.
Flamingo - This is a Bud Jones Roulette chip. The center logo is smooth.

Luxor - This is another Chipco. This has a light texture and diagonal edge spots. You definitely can see the injection point on this chip.

Casino Royale - This is another Chipco. This has a light texture and 3 small black edge spots. You definitely can see the injection point on this chip.

The Venetian - This is another Paulson. It has smooth inlay.

Harrahs - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). It has a smooth inlay.

Stardust - I can not remember who makes this chip. This is a metal inlay ABS chip.

The New Frontier - This is another Bud Jones. The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Monte Carlo - This is another Paulson. This chip has a textured inlay.

Aladdin - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Stratosphere - This is another Paulson. It has smooth inlay.

Osheas - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). It has a textured inlay.

Barbary Coast - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Orleans - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Tropicana - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Wynn - These are Paulson house mold chips (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on these chips is smooth.

Hilton - This is another Bud Jones. The inlay on this chip is smooth.

The Mirage - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). It has a textured inlay.

Bellagio - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

New York - New York - This is another Paulson. It has smooth inlay.

Treasure Island - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Riviera - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Sahara - I can not tell if this is a Blue Chip or an ASM. The inlay's poor quality makes it look like a Blue Chip but there are brass flakes in the chip. Around the edge of the chip it looks like the are little sun shaped indents.

MGM Grand - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Mandalay Bay - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). The inlay on this chip is smooth.

Imperial Palace - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). This is the only chip of the bunch that is hot-stamped.

Excalibur - This looks like a Paulson house mold (correct me if I am wrong). It has a textured inlay.

Chips: 2 | | | Nice chips you picked up there.
I think that Sahara is a Paulson. I have the same chip (pic on your other tread) and it has the Tophat and cane around the outside of it.
I like the chipco chips, something about the full front and back picture on them. |

You probably can not see it in the picture but there are brass flakes in this chip. I do not think I have seen a Paulson that has brass flakes. Anyone know anything about this chip?

Your Sahara chip looks like the newest Blue Chip model. It's similar to the TH&C chip they used to have, and this is probably what Niagara has.
Your picture looks like it has the slightly different edge spots, and of course the Flames (Shell/Sun) mold. ChipGuide shows it as the 2nd chip on this page http://www.silver-state-treasures.co...s/saharaht.htm .
BTW, Paul Hegge's excellent site can help identify most Nevada chips. http://www.silver-state-treasures.com/ Click on Casino version, then the city, then the casino, and you'll see a bunch! |

Have they used brass flakes before or is this something new? I know ASM uses the brass flakes because I have a set.
