Chips: 9,215 | | | Authentic Casino Chip Sets Other than the Dunes set from Spinetti's (which is sweet) are there any other real casino chip sets available in playable sets?
The Dune's set is very nice, and at $3/chip is pricey but not entirely out of my budget. Are there other options if I want a set of chips that were really used in a real casino? Playable sets only.

Chips: 18,394 | | | Depends what you want....
Some good Paulson clays with giant inlay are from New Sonny's Casino in Washington. There are still some out there on eBay and they cost about $1 apiece -- you may not like the inlay, but they are brand-new true Paulsons.
Discovery Cruises are still sold on eBay, and other casinos. Sometime you just have to get lucky.
There are some real casino Chipcos too, but you have a dynamite set of DC Chipcos already!
Also see some BJ coin inlay chips now and then, usually from Caribbean casinos. |

Stupid name for a casino, too, IMHO. Was there even an "old sonny's"? The chips themselves are nice, though--good colors and edge-spot variety. May be the only instance where applying custom adhesive labels on a Paulson would be a serious consideration! |

The discovery cruise chips are not nearly as nice as the Dune's either.

Chips: 572 | | I love my discovery chips!
Dunes are nice if you can spend $3 a pop for a T500 tourney set.
If $1 Dunes could be had, these great chips would be far more useful. I'd love to use them in a cash game at face value.
The Discovery chips have a nice appearance, though the $5 and $25's are heavily played. (worn & dirty)
The whites are a nice example of the Paulson Giant inlay. They are usually in great shape. 100's and 500's are very rare now.
If you don't need house molds or shaped inlays, you can save a lot with Discovery Cruises chips. Great ring set. |

check out the link above. It was for a huge lot of Paulsons from a random absolete casino. No idea what the reserve was, but it wasn't met. Too bad all those damn tokens are mixed in w/ the unique and historic Paulsons. |

Chips: 572 | | | I got them off of eBay last year. Spent a week cleaning the red & green, too. They ran me $.84 each.
(If you look closely, you'll see that the blue ones are actually NexGens with 25 cent custom labels by Jason!) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
