Casino Chips for my home game

I am concerned about the possibility of an impending price crash. So, as a hedge i am pinning the value of my chips to the good ole' USD.. How? I am going on a few roadtrips to collect 400 Paulson $1 chips to be used in my home game. I will then buy 25-50 $5 chips from a fantasy set or something, and I have a handful of $25s and $100s already. $1500 face should be plenty for my low stakes home games.

Anyway.. I am going to Florida on business next week. Anyone know if any of the racinos down there have Paulsons? I know the Hard Rock in tampa has some nice Chipcos, but I am set on Paulsons..

Below are some pics of the chips I will collect. How many do you think I can get out from each visit without raising too many eyebrows? 40? 100?

buy as many as you want and then walk out. you purchased them. they don't care. this has been covered a few times at 2+2. people bought up tons of Wynn and the new Binion $1 chips. the casinos don't care, and they wouldn't do anything about it if they did.

Right.. All of the chips will be worth face. It might be interesting if each person started with all of one casino. You could see the flow of money around the table.. Might be interesting.

Anyone know of Florida houses using Paulson?

Just pick the one you like best and walk right up to the cage and ask for how many ever you want. Then proceed right out the door.

They are not going to give you a hard time because they buy the chips for less than $1. I'm not sure exactly what a casino's cost is for chips as I have heard various prices anywhere from 30¢ all the way up to 70¢. The exact cost does not really matter. You are paying $1, and what ever the difference, is pure profit.

Only downside to buying chips from the cashier is that you'll get a ton of chips that are dirty, scratched, scuffed, and chipped. You'll need to get a lot of them in order to get enough that look good when you clean 'em up.

You might get lucky and find a casino where they had just recently gotten a new rack and the chips are still fairly "fresh".

Cash back in the bad ones and get another stack later on.

Thanks for posting the other thread. I searched but that one did not come up, probably because I did not search for the word "heist".

I actually plan on playing at each casino. If I buy in for $300 in 4/8 game I should have ample chips to sort through and pick out the best 100.. I will do that at three or four different casinos over a long weekend.

What are you going to do for your $5 chips?
