Wow, I would have expected a more elaborate inlay and at least some different colors on the edge spots. Each chip has only 2-3 different colors on the whole chip including inlay. A yawner to me!!

They probably couldn't spend as much on the edge-spots and inlay art because of the expense of putting in the RFID crap in the chips and casino equipment.

Also, for you PJB owners--doesn't the mold texture remind you of something?

i like the way that they also included a sky blue $10 chip in the mix... i'm sure we will see more interesting chips from these guys in the future (i hope)...i like the simple chips, though...i guess a lot of the more intricate edge spot designs in the past have been for security purposes, but, with the rfid, i guess that simplicity with the edge spots is a lot cheaper...hopefully we'll at least see some classy limited edition chips tossed in there with these plain ones...

wow, pretty boring chip. i still will probably pick up some $1 chips anyways. steve wynn didnt stray far from his other designs. the $1 and $5 are pretty much the same style as the Bellagio, TI, and Mirage chips.

I will probably get my parents to pick up the $1 - $10 chips just to have them. They will be in Vegas at the end of May.

This link sez that Paulson's are made in Mexico. Is that true?

I'm not sure why you would question it. I'm more inclined to believe the actual manufacturer than what anyone on this site says. If they say their chips are made in Mexico, they probably are.

My wife was going to Wynn today. I asked her to pick up some sample chips. Hopefully, the'll have some special commemorative chips for their grand opening.

Does anybody know if ALL their chips have RFID tags? Even the $1 ones?

I can see the security features of RFID tags.
Also, I can see how they could help the casino track play. This could benefit the individual player in terms of getting comps for play.

Are there any other benefits to the player? Will they take advantage of the tags to count the pot for you, for instance?

I agree. I like them. I wonder about the $1 and $10 being two shades of a similar color, but then maybe they don't come off quite so close when you see them for real.

But I do like the design of them. Simple, classy, not too busy.

Regards,
Allan B.
