Chips: 552 | | | Wynn will only have RFID chips at $5 or higher. I believe the Hard Rock will have them as well (I actually heard that Hard Rock will have them before Wynn opens, thought I could be wrong).
GPIC (Gaming Parners International) will make the chips, though PGIC (Mikohn Gaming Corp) will probably distribute the chips to Wynn. Mikohn Gaming developed the player tracking technology to be used with RFID. I think the two companies have some sort of partnership on this. |

RFID chips in $100, $500, $1000, $5000 denoms. Bacarrat chips (RFID) in $100, $500, $1000, $5000 denoms.
Token and NCV in various denoms.
12 roulette tables with 7 colors each.
As for Hard Rock, they are already using RFID (oversize 44mm) chips in their Peacock Lounge. I've seen only $25, $100 and $500 chips. There are probably higher denoms used there. |

Chips: 66 | | Just got back from Vegas and was playing 6-12 with a dealer in training at Wynn Resort. And what I found out is the poker room at Wynn will be the biggest and best in Vegas and he has yet to see the new poker chips. They gave him a set of "practice chips", which I offered to buy from him repeatedly but said he would be terminated if the chips were not returned. And one last thing 17 dealers from the Mirage who had been there forever left to deal at Wynn. Which was evident while playing at Mirage. I had one hand heads up where the board made a boat which neither of us could out pair and the dealer was going to give the pot to the other player who had an ace!!! split pot biatch!!! Couldn't beleive it!!! And for all the Canterbury card club guys here the former director is the new director at Wynn and from what I have heard she is one the best in the country. |

In hold'em I'd say that's like being in a monster pot with the sucker flush and two people are all in ahead of you. You might win but it's not likely. |

I did some work for a gaming company in 2000-2001 and got interested in gaming stocks. I bought Boyd Gaming (BYD) in 2000 through 2002. That has been a grand slam. Overall, gaming stock are doing very well in the post-dotcom crash recovery....
For those interested, I would highly recommend looking into --
ASCA
IGT
MGG
SHFL
STN
CZR
HET
MBG (soon to be purchased by MGG)
Casinos aren't going away, riverboat casinos have spread gaming throughout the lands, and poker is increasing the popularity and acceptability of casino gaming in general.
