I've been trying to take better photos of my chips, and I'm not happy with the final product. I'm looking to buy a scanner. Does anyone have any suggestions or brand names to look for?
I have an Epson Perfection V200, which I bought a few months ago and I love it. I had an all-in-one before this and some of the chip colors like blazing orange don't scan too well.
I use an older HP that belongs to my office (I don't even know what model it is... and at that rate, it probably isn't even made anymore).
I think there was a resent suggestion to take a chip with you to the store and scan it there to see how the dayglow color turn out.
That said, any particular reason you're not happy with the photos??? Lemme guess, they're blurry. If so, try the macro mode, which is usually a little flower button. That and natural light (no flash) will make a world of difference.

The other half of solving the "blurry" still life photo quotient is typically done by using a tripod, and the self timer on the shutter. (Unless you have a remote shutter trigger.)
I JUST got the Epson Perfection today and WOW what a differnce!! I could NEVER scan hot colors before! Heres a test scan of some chips that i couldnt scan the colors before with no adjustments!!!
