Why are they so expensive, was the issue way under the usual 2500 or 3000 chips?

I don't know why...but I do know that they are pretty sweet chips! I think I saw a Rio one go for about $70...maybe a little more! I REALLY want one of each, but just can't seem to win one! |

I don't know how many are made, maybe 500? I heard that they were only given out to VIPs, so I don't believe any of them made it on to the floor. I've seen more Flamingo's for sale then the other 2, the prices have actually gone up since it was released. |

From what I understand, they were not sold to the general public. They were handed out to specific high rollers.  Therefore they were harder to get than the normal release which could be purchased in quanity. |

Typically, the release is in batches of 888 since it is a Chinese lucky number.

Ya, that is crazy! That's more then 3x, what I paid. Just have to ride it out I'm sure more will show up.
This guy actually sold a set for $320 last week, the BIN was $330. He probably wants more now that he got that price, the BIN has gone up. I guess if he finds the right buyer, it would sell.

They are expense because it wasn't release to the public. Supply and demand.
I really want it to purchase Mandalay Bay year of the PIG 2007. No where to been seen, only release to Asian high roller.  There goes my search for one. 
I just love the art work on Mandalay Bay chips. |
