I am working on a las vegas casino cash set. i have quarter, fifty cent, dollar, and five dollar chips. all the chips in the set are excellent/mint. i am looking to get 20 x $20 chips.. i am not sure what my options are as far as getting chips in quantity. has to be a vegas casino and has to be at least excellent condition.
bellagio and mgm grand poker rooms come to mind first...and are both quite nice...although the bellagio poker $10 is uber-sweet and you could have twice as many!
Wait, I'm a bit confused. You want Las Vegas Casino chips (the $20) but you don't want to pay $20?
What am I missing? Do you mean you want chips that say "Las Vegas" but aren't true Vegas casino chips?
No he wants Las Vegas chips that are from a closed casino and would like to pay less than $20 each for them.
Unfortunately that is the rub. The $20 denomination is not nearly as common as some of the other denomsn and you are looking from Las Vegas only. The fact that the denom is realitivly rare and you are looking from the most popular casino collecting location means you are going to be paying a premium. About a year or two ago you could have gotten the Purple $20 stardust chip for about $17 each (which is a sweet chip). However now it is selling for around $50. The only other one that pops into my head is the Dunes Baccarat chip which is a 43 mm and goes for about $10 to $17 on a one at a time basis, and I have never seen them sold in quantity.
Other than that you are looking at current casino issues.
