I sold a mint rack of Blue Chip Casino Paulsons in M2M a couple years ago ane of the the offers was for "Thirty-seven dollars, and that includes shipping and paypal fees." That was my favorite PM from that sale. That dude offered me $37 for a rack I payed $138 for. I thought it was awesome!
I see chips for sale here and on eBay at WAY above what I think the market will bear, but I'm not offended, I just assume the guy's not dying to sell them. I've also gladly payed 8x face for current issue quarters and been perfectly happy with the purchase.
Can someone please explain to me the offensive part here? What is there to get worked up about? |

When I read that I'm thinking amusing, uninformed, ridiculous, hilarious, ignorant; but not insulting...
BTW, don't take that offer Mike, I'll give you a hell of a lot more than that! |

Seriously, how retarded do you think I am.

If somebody posts an offer you deem not to be acceptable, you just say "Thanks, but no thanks" and wait for the next bidder?
There will always be haggling, when somebody puts £100 or nearest offer - why wouldn't you want to hit their lowest acceptable value? Sure some bids may be too low, but at least it can either be a catalyst to negotiate or a simple rejection. |

Why don't you just tell the person what your price is before they even make the offer? You can save time and avoid the lo-ball offers. This has been the most frustrating part of purchasing from CT members. I hate making an offer when the seller doesn't give you a starting point. You are the seller of the chips, you are the owner. You bought the chips, you know all about the chips, even thier fair market value. Why don't you just tell someone what price you want? Then they can make a fair offer or purchase. I think the answer is simple, because people who do not list a starting price before accepting offers (imo) are looking for an over-offer. (guarentee.....no-one will ever couter your over-offer with a fair price)
I will say one thing about SOK on his PNY's. At least he listed a price. It's easy to simply look away from his add and not waste any time. Open add, see that's he's only looking to sell high....close add. Post a WTB add and list your buying price. You enter negotiations with SOK, it's obvious your wasting your time. The man says so, right in his add!

tt | Absolutely the greatest post thus far.
Again, I am not offended (why should I) or purposely trying to take sales away from anyone. That said, I think its great to be able to pass on information to those who just recently been on the search. If some sucker is willing to pay twice the amount of the current value why would the seller deny the offer. |

Could you please give me some sort of factual evidence supporting your claim that my PNY $500s are priced at 2x the current value. And could you please explain what the current market value is and why you believe that to be true?
AS tt, has stated those are the prices I am comfortable selling my set at. A set like this takes many transactions and a lot of Paypal / Shipping fees to assemble. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
