My only observation was that there seem to be more than the usual amount for sale.
Maybe everyone is trying to get money for their 44mm customs. | Sparky you have it right on. Its just a chip cycle. You sell some of your chips to buy other chips. Chip Economics 101. Until you find those chips that fit your tastes in everyway. Then you stop , right , I think.... not sure I'm not there yet. |

As someone with a vested interest in PNY's, I've come up with the following: I think a lot of people purchased PNY's because originally they were made available at an unbelievable price for a true casino Paulson. Most purchasers did not have a "need" for the chips. As the economic belt tightens across America, people now prefer the cash over their unused chips. Adding to the economic downturn is the waning interest in poker. I still have over 7,500 PNY's that never see the felt. I just happen to prefer my Crystal Park chips. |

Chips: 1,142 | | | Re: Lots of PNY's on the market. Did I miss something??? Honestly, I follow ebay regularly and PNYers have been abundant in the market for quite some time. The $1, $5, and $25 were worth approximately $1 a year ago. The $1 have gone up just slightly but anyone paying more than $1.15 (shipping included) is just pathetic. The $100s should not go over $1.5 (shipping included) and the $500 should be around $5 per. People who over price these things for $7-8 per chip are hoping to encounter a miracle sucker or believe chips are an investment.
I could understand overpricing them on EBAY but I just don't understand the logic of doing it so here at CT where virtually everyone knows the true value of these chips. |

Who do you think is buying chips on Ebay um people from our community. So whats the difference. I also love when people debate to me about selling prices. I feel I have a pretty good feel for chip prices. And if anyone has read my ad there are no set prices anyway. I am strictly asking for offers only. Did you guys happen to READ the ad? I am just saying these are the MINIMUMs I would consider selling them for. | Yes, the way our system works you can ask for whatever price you want - that is allowed. You have to be blind or just dense not to see that you are charging way more than the value of the chips, and as a member of this community, I find that offensive. But I'm just not going to purchase from you - problem solved for me. You go ahead and set your minimums at whatever price you want and good luck with your sale, but I'll keep looking for mine.

Does anyone actually use theirs?
All I see are "Mint", "Unused", etc.
It's a shame to let these beautiful chips just sit there collecting dust.

As the economic belt tightens across America, people now prefer the cash over their unused chips. | Many people bought the $5, $25 and $100's at a cheap price. Such a cheap price, they bought too many. When they realized they did not really need them, they let them go, some cheap. I got a great deal on a rack of $25's. I got such a good deal I wanted the $100's. Caught the market at a bad time and paid a good penney for a rack. Needed 20 more of the $100's. Paid a real premium to get someone to break a rack. He didn't guage me, I agreed to pay it. Saw some $500's floating around. When I was ready to buy, they seem to disappear. I got some at better prices than others, but none as near as low as people claim. So, call me an overpayer, but don't call me a guager. All said and done, that's a lot of coin tied up in chips. BP is correct, the economy is kicking our arses and reality makes you rethink. Although I don't really have to sell, It would probably not be a terrible thing to do. I just don't feel I should be the one to take a big loss to make this a better community! Just trying to get most of my $ back, oh and eat a lot of shipping charges!

BTW, I'm looking for some $100 secondaries at a reasonable price, or in trade for $100 primaries.
