Hey Everyone,

I just booked a trip to NYC, I am going during the first week of April and have 5 nights booked in NYC and 2 nights booked in Atlantic City.

The main goal of this trip is to get a chance to pray to the baseball Gods once in Yankee Stadium before it shuts down (I am there April 2nd vs. Toronto), but I added the AC part because I want to get some new chips and donk some money away .

Where are the best places in AC (or in NYC?) to pick up chips (or play a decent Hold'em tournament)? I will try my best to get chips from most of them, but which ones should I make sure I hit? Any advice for AC, I have never been there?

The Borgatta is the best place (in AC) to play poker.

You could catch a disease touching the Taj chips. Really old and dirty.

Dan, good luck with your trip! I've never been there either (neither NYC nor AC) and have been wanting to go lately. I would just collect some from as many casinos as I could hit...... Have fun!

Say hi to the Bambino for me. As far as chips? Cleanest, newest, Paulsons.

Borgata is in a class by itself, with an amazing poker room and some reasonably priced tourneys. Absolute top of my list. Harrah's has a decent poker room as well.

Borgata chips are nice; Bud Jones, classy looking. They use fairly plain Paulson clays for most of their tourneys.

As far as other AC chips go, I kinda like the Trop, Hilton and Showboat chips. But just mho.

Last time I was in AC I played with brand new 1's and 5's at the Taj. Their $5 chips are sweet, especially stacked.

Showboat has some decent $50+$10 tournies with 5000 chips, 25-50 starting blinds, 20 minute levels and no rebuys, addons, or antes.

Caesar's has my favorite chips. They have a different Roman emperor on each denomination; full graphic, textured inlay Paulsons which you do not see much.

Obviously Borgata is the nicest casino.

Not a AC chip expert...

But I love the Bud Jones the Borgata has.

The Hilton is where I play, they have easier games with a more laid-back atmosphere, and they're generally friendlier people. You'll see why if you go there.

The tourneys in AC are generally pretty good. Some of the structures are a little fast because they want you in and out and let them make their 20%. The action this week and next week will be Caesars for the WSOP Circuit event. Most of the casinos with poker rooms have some sort of daily tourney (resorts is tues/thurs).
