Chips: 2,900 | | | Re: Proud new member of CC>CC I joined last fall and lurked on TheChipBoard.com for a while before making my first post there just a few weeks ago (it's not for members only). I received a very warm welcome and already did a trade with somebody from this board.
Why did I join CC>CC? Interesting question. Because it's a great resource. To support the group and the hobby itself. Because I wanted to attend this year's convention, although as it turns out I can't go this year after all. To hook up with the local chapter. Because some members only trade with other members.
And because Jim (Gaming Ore) Follis knew I had just started collecting casino chips, thought I would enjoy the group and the conventions, suggested that I join, and sent me a membership application. Thanks, Jim! |

Chips: 95 | | | Re: Proud new member of CC>CC I am not officially a member yet, but I sent my cheque out recently to the membership officer and am waiting for it to be processed. There are a load of reasons why I think the club is worth joining.
The main reason I decided to join because I felt that it would be easier to be involved in trades if I was a member. I think I really I caught "the sickness" for casino chips after Jim posted information about a round robin trade he was involved in (it's in the collecting forum somewhere) and mentioned that members sometimes prefer to work with members. I hear that the magazine, the convention (and pre-registration bonuses), and the library among many other things are worth the membership price itself.
I am really looking forward to getting my membership card in the mail and hope I can squeeze a trip to the convention this year around my tuition fees (You know you have a problem when you decide to go back to school and are really disappointed that you probably can't afford to go to the convention)

So many chipper reasons to join,, and no reason at all to not join, really. I just renewed my membership, and it was the best $30 I spent yet this year. |

Plus, it's a great resource. Which reminds me, I've got to make my way over to the Chipboard soon... Again.

JCTC, Welcome to the CC>CC!!!! My membership is just over 9 years and I joined back then to be able to be in-touch with people that shared in my new found interest! Things have esculated quite a bit since then, but nearly ALL my knowledge and awareness of this hobby is from other CC>CC members.
I hope that you enjoy your membership!
