Both firms used the Burt Co. to manufacture the chips until about 1995, when the manufacturing was turned over to the Paulson Company until it was acquired by the large French firm, Bourgogne et Grasset/GPI Corp. Chips with this mold were hardly ever used in licensed casinos. Rather the chips were made for illegal clubs (such as Outhwaite's in Saratoga NY) and home games. ........The "NEB" chip pictured on the left is for sale here. It's a very cool mold if you wanted to do an illegal cardroom type of theme, I think. |

HPC is selling off what remains in the known unstamped inventory. AFAIK, You will not likely ever see these again with the GPI recipe, and probably never see any new chips made, unless the person who bought the mold from Robert on eBay makes arrangements to do so. I don't recall what condition the mold was in, or if it would even support being used for thousands of new pressings. |
