cage problems?

Has anyone had any trouble getting chips from the cage?
My friend is in vegas right now and I asked him to get me 10 TI bud jones chips but the woman at the cage said she could only give him 4. I see people on here saying it's easy to get a rack and he cant even get 10 chips!!

This must be an anomaly.

Anyone had ANY trouble getting this low amout of chips??

(grandted, my friend COULD be wasted out of his mind right now which wouldnt help the situation, but I can't be certain )

buy into the 1/2 game. take chips out of casino. the end.

or in your case...buy into the 1/2 game. change mind. put 10 chips in pocket. cash out rest. the end.

TI problems

I really wanted TI poker room chips for my home set. I ask a friend who lives in Vegas to make this happen for me. So he went into the poker room and said he wanted to by a rack of chips. They refused. They told him they don't do that. I did not want him to waste time sitting at a game, since he was doing me a favor. So I went with my next choice, and got a rack of Luxors. <------ Seen there. Those TI chips are nice, and durable.

Re: cage problems?

I tried getting an uncirculated rack of the $2 chips from the Ceasars poker room last time I was in Vegas. The girl behind the counter looked at me like I was nuts and politely said they only had what was currently behind the counter. Same thing at the Mirage. If you are just wanting chips (regardless of circulated or not) like others said simply buy a rack or two under the pretense of sitting in a game. If you do it at a busy time when there is a wait to get on a table it would be completely resonable for someone to walk out of the room with the chips

Re: cage problems?

I've tried harvesting at about 5-6 casinos now and it's been entirely hit or miss for me. A couple of them were more than happy to sell and the others, well, looked at me like I was nutz and said, nope.

Re: cage problems?

For a couple of chips, the roulette table worked for me in laughlin. Most of the card rooms were small so buying a rack and waiting to get into a game was hard. They would bring the rack to your table. In a couple of rooms, I could have left with a rack, and did at riverside, but a couple of rooms, the podium/cage would have block my escape. Vegas rooms are larger and it would be eaiser to get chips out of them. In minnesota, cantaburry card club would be easy to get a rack of chips, you just go up to the cage and buy a rack, no need to check in with the board first.
