[Gaming Ore]

When Doug "Cigarman" Smith began his series of Newbie Tips of the Day posts over on TheChipBoard.com, I immediately started reposting them here on ChipTalk. However, I placed them in a dedicated, sticky thread, with the intent of having the thread only contain Doug's Tips of the Day postings and to specifically keep others from breaking the continuity of the thread with questions, comments and other potential hi-jacking elements.

Unfortunately, keeping the thread locked does prevent us from expressing our appreciation (and comments/questions) so I am hereby setting up this thread as a companion thread to Doug's Newbie Tip of the Day thread.

Please feel free to express your positive (and polite negative) commentary here, as well as any questions about the information provided by Doug. I will make sure that Doug follows along in this thread to answer any questions or comments, and when I have a ready answer, I'll chime in as well. But since many of us here are a bit seasoned, anyone with an appropriate response may post their opinions.

Last, and certainly not least, I wish to express my gratitude to Doug for what he has undertaken, and with 61 Tips thus far, he might entertain a suggestion or two for topics from CT'ers!

And very lastly, I wish to express appreciation to Ten for supporting this information sharing cross-over! Thanks Ten!

Glad you added this thread, GO. I'm definitely appreciative of the TotD thread. Although I get over to thechipboard whenever I have money burning a hole in my pocket, it's nice to have the whole thread available here too. And I've found at least two new links that I didn't know about before (including the new Caribbean guide).
