I'm sure I'm not the first to discover this, but the H39 direct fit Air-Tites fit nicely 11 to row in the 44mm Chipco trays.
55 chips in Ait-Tites per rack!
Crappy picture, but I drove 10 hours today - 5 hours each way for a 90 second appearance representing the services group in a sales pitch to a new customer.

That's great. But.... (and I am sure you already did the math). it becomes cost prohibitive at some point. The direct fit capsules for the chips go for about $100 per 250. This is mail order and you can probably do better, but as your collection grows it gets pricey. But don't let me dissuade you.
How big you think your collection is going to get?

You can buy the direct fit Air-Tites at JP's Corner online for $78 a case. 250 Air-Tites to a case. And if you buy 10 cases, as I'm getting ready to do, you get 10% off, which works out to a little under 26¢ per Air-Tite. That might be a good idea for those interested in doing a group buy.
I have most of my chips in Air-Tites now, except for the ones I have in Dansco albums.

They also fit nicely into the plastic racks that B&G used to ship their 44mm chips in. What is nice about those is that you have the top to secure the Air-Tites with & they interlock when you stack them. They are also very lightweight. They hold 55 direct fit Air-Tites just like the Chipco racks.
The trouble is that you can't find them around anywhere. I have about 20 of them now that I have picked up over the years & I'm always looking for more.

Thats in the ballpark now. I was thinking of putting some of my Nevada collection in air-titles but when I costed it out based on a couple of different dealers it was more than I was willing to spend for it. Now that I have slimmed down the collection a little bit and with a lower cost per capsule, maybe its time to rethink it.
