These are definately not "rare" and I also don't think the Horseshoe actual issued these. They are really similar to the Tanjiers chips, which was sold as retail poker chips.
Here's a pic from Pokerchip Reviews:
One note, there is a story that Benny Binion spelled his name "Binyon" when he applied for his Nevada gaming license. It was suspected that he did this because he had a police record.
That being said, it would still make a cool card cap, though I wouldn't over pay for it. |

I had never seen Binion spelled like that, and thought it was kind of strange - if it was actually issued by Horseshoe, and in 2005. The ones that you have pictured are defintely similar to the auction item. After I saw that one - I came across many more, in different denoms. Bid for the $25 is at .55 right now.....

Chips: 10,807 | | | Re: Rare Binyon's Horseshoe Dealer Button Card Guard Definately NOT Binion's Horseshoe issued chips. Stronger words would apply, if I had more time!
Buy them only if you like the design, but they have nothing to do with Binion, the Horseshoe, etc., and absolutely NOT RARE!

Jim (Gaming Ore) Follis | Thanks, Jim! I definitely will not be buying any of those - if NOT issued by Binion's Horseshoe. Them rascals.......gets harder and harder to trust sellers on Ebay!

There's also alot of WSOP coin like card guards out there that you don't know if they are really issued by the casino or not. I guess like Jim said buy them only if you like the design. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
