Not quite "been there, done that" but....
This particular sight is operated by a CC>CC member as a freebie service to CC>CC Members. Each member is authorized web space to host scanned images of chips in their collections, as well as space for scans of "wanted" chips and "trade" chips.
There are quite a few scans available there, but youy must keep in mind the following. If every User has a $1 house chip from the Luxor, then there will be as many scans of a Luxor chip as there are members in the Library.
There is no minimum resolution standard, so most scans are not hi-res, and the duplicate entries are sometimes an issue when doing searches.
However, IT IS AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE for collectors who wish to have their collections on-line and also be able to show scans of their wants and traders. And scans will always be an improvement over typed out lists of wants and traders.
There are also other sites that show older (and current) Nevada chip issues. SilverStateTreasures.com comes to mind and a few others listed in the FAQ Sticky in this forum.
I've not responded right away, because I have been hit and miss on my on-line availability last week and for the enxt several weeks. But in the overall, the Collection Library is a very good resource. Participation requires CC>CC membership, which is obtainable from this website (ChipTalk.net) or ask me how.

Ten,
Thanks for making me think!!!
It took me a while but....
The CHIPDB site was operated by a former CC>CC member named Robert Cruz. It appears that Robert's membership has lapsed and it also appears that he has not taken the site down. I was able to log-in, as I registered when he first opened it. I do not know what his situation is.
In my earlier post, I had confused his self-serve site with a competing project hosted by CC>CC member Brian Watts, The Collection Library. That site is at: Welcome to the CollectionLibrary!
and is pretty much the same, however, the ChipDB site appears pre-populated with casino names and specific chips, and is awaiting scans.
I hope this helps.

I have this site bookmarked, but it really doesn't have as many pics as silverstate treasures. That's the site I usually check out to see pics of certain Nevada chips. I thought I posted it awhile ago, but maybe not.

i like Brian Watts's collectionlibrary! It is one of the best places to search for chips from all over. If you go to "Global "Collection List" " you can search through several states and casinos. Brian has set up collectionlibrary for CC>CC members to use free! Most of my collection is shown there. www.BestAgentSites.com - Redirecting to Opening Page... |

Thanks Jim.
