Paulson 1995 'Rodeo' Commemoratives - how many were made?
Don't know if this is the right forum for this question, but I'll take a shot anyway.
Anyone know approximately how many of these were made, and if they ever appear(ed) in playable sets (300+)? I have yet to see them sold in sets greater than 6-8, usually one of each denom.
Were these commemorating the Pro rodeo championships held every year in LV, or was there a special reason for them to be made in 1995 (anniversary, etc.)?

I know almost nothing about these chips, but I can tell you that someone on Chiptalk sold a set through M2M a while back (a year or so ago?). I can't remember the totals, but it was around 300-400 chips. Someone else beat me to it and then chips started being sold as singles on ebay about the same time.

As I understand it, these were sold from mix and match bins at the various Paul-Son retail stores. A buyer could by them by the hundreds, or one at a time.
Referred to as "fanatsy" chips by collectors it is doubtful that they commemorated any specific rodeo event.

Looks like I'm missing a $5 and $10, and the picture you posted is missing a $100. These would make a great set IMO, if they could be found in quantity. I love the colors, and the busy inlays really work for these chips.
Anyone have a $5 and $10 they want to get rid of?? I hate incomplete sample sets!

LOL those must be the ones you bought from me on ebay in January, dap... that's one of the reasons why I let them go - I couldn't fill the gaps. (ebayID vanguard711)

Yup..those are your old chips..lol . I've never checked out that ebay/chiptalk member name thread.. I'll have to give it a quick read. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully will come across the 2 I'm missing.
