promote chiptalk

Today on lasvegasadvisor http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/qofday.cfm there was a question of the day about the value of casino chips. For their expert advice they went to another site. But, if a lot of people email them about a different source of information they will update their question and email out the information. So everyone should contact them and let them know chiptalk has a vast community and lots of information about casino chips. The lasvegasadvisor community is good size so if they mention chiptalk it will be good.

The site they went to was TheChipBoard.com & would without a doubt be the first place anyone should go, to ask questions about casino chip values. That is not a knock on ChipTalk, just a fact.

I agree with Andy... Though there are some that have found a second home here on CT but spend most of there time on thechipboard.com. Thats where I go when I am looking for a chip or want to know history/value of a chip. All of the folks are super friendly and very knowledgeable.

Most at CT are chip set geeks (fantasy & ex-casino)... chipboard folks are single chip collectors.

Exactly.

The value of individual chips, especially collectible chips, is not really what I see around here from the majority of members. We certainly have many members who "go both ways" but I'd say that ChipBoard is the place for chip collectors. As a ChipTalker, I'm not offended by that in the least.

Ash trays??? That is awesome!!!! I am soooo PO'd because my dad had a large ash tray collection from his Vegas days (he was born in 1919 so he was aroubd for the begining of Vegas). After he passed my mom got rid of them (I was too young to know the difference)
