Chips: 32 | | | Waddaya use to keep track of your chips? I've found a MSAccess template that I guess could work, but it's not ideal.
What do you all use? |

I currently do not have any system at all for logging sample sets and casino collectible chips. I probably should though... |

I guess if you plan to sell them online using a MSAccess database as the backend inventory database it'd make sense, but short of that Excel or openoffice should work fine.

When they are in play, I only bring full racks out (off the shelf, into the 'poker area') and at the end of the night, all racks, once everyone is cashed out, should be full, and they go back on the shelf. |

When I started the inventory many years ago, I did not include the date acquired or the price, I wish I had those fields now....
I keep track of:

City
Qty
Denom
Manufacturer
Mold
Inlay size
Material (clay, ceramic, etc.)
Base Color

Custom/Fantasy/Retail/Promo/Sample | thats an interesting breakdown on stats to track.
Tomb - you care if I build a database in MySQL using those fields as a starting point? I wont sell it & will share it with everyone here. it might make for a nice chip collectors theme for a website. EX: i enter my chip stats into a database (through a web interface) and it builds a webpage with all your chips that you could search and sort through... Certainly nerdy, but might be a kinda cool project.
I need to brush up on my PHP coding anyways.
