Hard Rock $1's from Biloxi. Edgespots or quarter pies?

Hey -

I was wondering about these chips. My gut tells me that they are white with blue edgespots but there may be an outside chance that they are quarter pies... maybe.

Looking at the face of the chip the lines are very straight making me lean toward pies, but when looking at the rolling edge the lines are not straight, and look very much like edgespot borders. Also I think the cost of producing 1/4 pies would be prohibitive as well... Has anyone broke one in half to see for sure?

But I'd bet you a rack of them that they are edgespots and not quarter pies. It's the #3 pattern in the GPI catalog.

ugh... thats from memory. No one should have the patterns memorized from a chip manufacture.

They cost me too much to take you up on that and I agree with you. I am 75% sure they are the edgespots but just wanted to confirm. No pics... yet.

They lend toward the 1/4 look because of the super-grand inlay. I'd bet Quad's bankroll that they are spotted though.

So, it has been decided that these are edgespots...?
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what or how the 1/4 pies are made differently than chips like these?
What makes them more expensive? Does it involve another or different process?
