Not as good as some of the chips I have seen from the folks on here, but I am hoping when I get my Custom Labels they will look pretty damn good.

But I am well impressed in the difference from the last set I had. I just had a cheapo £20 Dice set, which I will still use some of the chips, but when we had a big game I just had plastic chips, which were pooooor.

These are class, I have now decided to start collecting chips

I will post some pics when I get the set complete and the labels on them Using them for the 1st time tonight

I assume you're talking about the Nexgen 8100-series "River Poker Tour" chips. They definitely look nice (especially the 3D14-spotted green, black, purple, and yellow chips).

You're starting down an expensive road, as my first "nice" chips were Nexgen 8200-series ("Lucky Bees"), which replaced my cheapo Bicycle interlocking plastic chips. Then I discovered ChipTalk, upgraded the size/breakdown of my Nexgen set several times, then finally decided to spring for some "Samurai Palace" BCC compression-molded clay chips, and, well, the rest is history.

I can echo jdunford's comments.

I started out with dice chips and found this site (via Scott Keen's Forum). Next was labelled Nexgen 8000's. Started with 400 and ended up with 1200.

A year an a half later and I'm on to custom clay. ** see mock-ups here

Thanks mate, glad to be here.

Yeah, I thought it was a wee bit expensive, but they look so nice, I just had to have em.

Got 100 Yellow, 100 Black, and 100 Purple. Gonny need quite a bit more before we have our big end of Quarter game, so think I will go for more Yellow, and some 5000 Chips, still aint sure If I want blue or grey though
