For those in the know, the most recent issue of The Chip Rack, as far as I can tell, it the 10th ed., dated 2004. Does anyone know if a newer edition is in the works for the near future, or are we looking at some time still.
As part of my ever-present cheapskate nature, I'd hate to get a copy only to have it superceded pretty much right away.

I asked this very question to Allan Myers (one of the Authors) in an e- mail about 3 months ago. His response was, "don't wait, there is nothing in the works."
It is certainly possible that he was wanting to get an extra sale, but it sure did not sound like it from what he told me.
The Chip Rack (TCR) is normally released to coincide with the CC>CC Convention. This year's Convention is early August and there will NOT be a TCR release. Therefore, the next likely release date would be summer 2008. However, I am not an author of that fine publication, so my comment is strictly speculation.
I would recommend buying Edition 10 now. HOWEVER, be advised that Edition 10 also has a supplement, actually Apendices that are bound separately from the main book. Be sure that your purchase includes that book!
