Do casinos even have 10c chips? | There is another post in the WTB asking about buying a full set of used casino 10¢, 25¢, or maybe 50¢, $1 etc for a playable set.
I am assuming you are asking for the same reason. I think my response applies here as well: Quote: |

Everyone and their uncle has already thought of this idea yrs ago. Once new quality chips become more expensive than the denomination then they start to disappear from the casinos quickly.
25¢ and 50¢ are going to be difficult too, but not quite as hard to come by. I have a set of Paulsons from a real casino in NV with about 150 50¢ chips so it is not impossible.
I do think your time and money would be better spent elsewhere.
Good luck.

As for dimes, I know of no casino in the US that uses them at the present time. They were once used, long ago, for craps and poker.
Here is a link to repeating auctions for dime chips: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ25Q...sassZcecilchip
Mostly California card clubs, but a few Nevada.

Chips: 557 | | | Re: Low Denoms in Casinos.. In general, the number of places using fractionals (chips < 1.00) is becoming less and less. You might see them at craps tables, or pai-gow tables, or even some BJ tables. The 4 queens actively uses a 50c chip, Detroit casinos use a 25c chip, and a few of the outlying LV area casinos also having fractionals (Jim mentioned a few of them, but you can add Longhorn for a 50c, and some of the other Henderson casinos).
As for lower than 25c? I have not seen any current casino in the US using that denomination.
And on a somewhat related subject...
An interesting thing in Atlantic City -- up until about 1997 they had a 50c on the books, meaning a casino could (if they want) produce one. The regulation was in place for a blue on until about 1982, then the color changed to mustard yellow and blue was reserved for the $10 chip (there are lots of different examples of this out there). There was a blue 50c produced at Resorts early on and there is one example known. Starting in about 2003 they have removed the 50c from the regulations and have moved the mustard color to a 20K chip. |

Chips: 10,507 | | | Re: Low Denoms in Casinos.. I posted the question over on thechipboard.com. Turns out that several downtown casinos (Las Vegas) still use quarter chips, but the Four Queens is not one of them.
