CB Bud Jones question

Does anyone have any of these chips? According to this auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/100-100-BUD-JONE...QQcmdZViewItem

They do not have metal inlays. Just that the inlays are shiny. Can anyone confirm this?

Re: CB Bud Jones question

I have them. There's no visible ring around the inlay as there is on the other CB BJ chips. However, the inlay is an oversized metal one as far as I can tell without taking the chip apart. It feels like metal, it sounds like metal and there's a small indentation around the inlay that you wouldn't have on a non-CIC chip.

I'd email Jim at NJ if you want 100% confirmation as these chips are currently being sold in his thread here.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

Thanks.

I actually just sent NJ's an email for a quote. How do you like the chips? Got any pics lying around? The scans on NJ's sight are kind of crappy. The pics in that ebay auction are the best I've seen of those chips.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

No scan of my entire set, but here's a representative scan of each chip in it.

You'll note that the black $100 in question is of a different style than all the rest. I like it though, very unique with the oversized inlay and the color combo can't be beat.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

Looks and feel metalic to me. It's a thinner metallic inlay than what you're used to though.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

I have some of them. It is not a metal insert like on the CIC chips. I don't believe it to be metalic and think it is a sticker-type inlay like the inlays of the V7 chips with a weighted slug underneath. It has a different appearance than the CIC chips. They are also very slick and slide against each other very easily. The colors are fantastic, I just didn't like them due to the slickness and the fact that it seems like its not a metal insert but a plasticky sticker.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

Crazy, sounds like we have different versions of the same chips.

Re: CB Bud Jones question

Do they have the suction like the V7's?

Re: CB Bud Jones question

No, they don't appear to have the suction... They may be made of metal and not a plastic inlay but they just feel very thin.. Maybe like a paper thin aluminum inlay.
