A challenge for Jamby - I know she's up to it

After trading with you last weekend I have decided to try to collect all available chips with the same insert type as the Harold's $5. The insert has a small second insert of a different color within the first larger insert. I think you called it a "tip insert".

Is there any way you could post a list for me to work on. Pictures would be sweet, but only if you have the time.

Brian

Re: A challenge for Jamby - I know she's up to it

Hi Brian,

That's a very cool idea for a collecting concentration. I got the term 'tip' from some old Puerto Rico chip guides. I believe there is a more commonly used term as well, but I'm not sure what that is. I'm sure that Ross or Jim or somebody else will know though once they see a few.

Here are a couple of scans from the Nevada Jacks offering that's going on now of the type of inserts that you are referring to.

I'll look for more.

Very cool design and one that you don't see much at all currently that I'm aware of.

Take it easy. It was sure good meeting you in person. Can't wait for next time.

Andi

Re: A challenge for Jamby - I know she's up to it

Here are a several additional Harold's Club chips borrowed from renocasinochips.com of the type of insert that you like.

Notice all the different 'Harolds'? That is what I was explaining to you the other night. The different chip issues had different portraits of different Harolds. Pretty cool. If not mistaken, the one you trader for with me was the 2nd $5 chip listed above right?

Happy chipping,
jamby

Jamby and BD, I think those inserts are horrible. Why would anyone want them? They should be disposed of immediately. Please send to me and I will make sure they get taken care of.

Ah, you laugh, my friend. I take this sort of challenge very seriously. Here's a Sahara chip you might like, scan courtest of http://www.silver-state-treasures.com

Re: A challenge for Jamby - I know she's up to it

Those pics are awesome. I thought someone called them "V" inserts? I know peeps on this board have been bugging ASM about doing them. When ever you see them described in a book though, they call them 6 of one color and 3 of the other. I checked the Chipology 101 presentation as found on the CCGTCC website and they called it "inserts within inserts"

Good luck in collecting all of those chips, you'll be spending a mint!

Re: A challenge for Jamby - I know she's up to it

Thanks a bunch Jamby. I knew you would come through. I don't like the Nevada Jacks as much because the inserts are square shaped. The "v" shaped ones do it for me.

Next question..... Who has some of those available for sale? I want them all..... muhaha!
