Chips: 2,198 | | | Chip Storage Question I know there's a lot of ways to store your casino chip collection. I have my WSOP ME champs in a frame. But for the most part my casino chips are not organized very well. I have a few chips in airtights, some sitting lose in a chip rack and some in a plastic page in a binder. I'd say its chip chaos and I have only a handful of chips!
How do you guys store and organize your chips and why? Do you put all your chips in airtights or just the expensive ones? Do you have all your chips in binders? Why?
Also, do you have a seperate the chips by state, $, condition, etc. ? Also, pics would be awesome if you have them. Many thanks! |

I know there are a lot of chippers that read these boards and would appreciate a few more helpful hints! Thanks. |

It uses a 9v battery and has 3 settings low/med/hi.

Chips: 2,198 | | | Re: Chip Storage Question I am actually thinking about getting something like below for my more expensive chips. Does anyone use something similar? I can't seem to find a close up of the actual sqaure that holds the air-tite. Is it cardboard?

Chips: 2,613 | | | Re: Chip Storage Question I've pondered the question asked by the OP for awhile now. I've always been more of a practical chick, so getting deeply into collectible chips wasn't an easy proposition for me; we never have people over, so showing them off on a shelf or in collectible books at home was out of the question, as was a framing system. And while I could put any of those things up at work, I actually like seeing and showing my chips whenever I have a mind to, so I took to literally carrying them with me all the time. Until I can find something better, I've been using the DN plaques bag I linked earlier, as well as a much smaller rose sachet I found at Kroger of all places, to hold my twirlers and rose chips. The "excess" 20+ chips and tokens are kept, for now, in two ziploc bags. The first person to create a better portable case for airtite-kept chips, will be my friend forever.
I was bored at work today, and took these cameraphone pictures of my Collectibles Storage System, stuffed to the gills--
--and spilled loosely hither and yon.
(This next part is unrelated to storage and constitutes a threadjacking; hence the links instead of thumbnails)
Since I'd already spilled the chips and was stacking them up to put back in the bags, I tried my hand at a chip-filled airtite tower. I'd never tried anything more than a simple 20-chip stack before while playing, but clearly, I have zero artistic stacking skills. And just as clearly, my cameraphone seriously sucks. http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/7...acksideus1.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/9...tacktopge1.jpg
And if you're still reading this...proof that even a broken ASM can "stand on its edge" (making it one of the least useful phrases I've ever heard regarding the quality of a given chip): http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/7134/brokenasmwx3.jpg
