Info. on illegals in Michigan ???

I'm new to this collecting But want to learn more.I'm looking at getting some "Chesterfield Club" chips as I live on the outskirts of Detroit.I would like to know all I can about any other illegals in Michigan.If someone has a good site for info. on illegals please share it with me, thank you all very much seems like a cool group at this site. Welcome to ChipTalk and more specifically, welcome to the Collector's Corner. Just as Jamby advised, the linked website of Ed Hertel is an excellent resource for chip artifacts of the illegal joints. I'd also recommend the local library, looking for reference material on the Purple Gang.

If you get hooked on collecting, I can also recommend joining the CC&GTCC, Inc. The CC&GTCC has a lending library (free to members) that is chock full of price guides, reference books, past issues of the Casino Chip & Token News (which has numerous related articles) and other web-site relates reference capabilities.
