GUN's BG Jetons

Here they are, all the Bourgogne et Grasset jetons I've acquired to this point.

Casino Arosa Switzerland
S.T.D.M. (Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau) China
Casino Mariánské Lázne Czech Republic

Three sizes are pictured---eight are 33 millimeters, two are 42 millimeters, three are 44 millimeters.

Only those from the S.T.D.M have non-matching sides. I included an additional picture to show the opposite sides mirrored.

If anyone's curious, I have about $150 invested in this first wave, so, I haven't gone too crazy with these yet.

Here's a link to the history of B&G, I had never read it before today.

here's a link, to an article, Ross sent me on the S.T.D.M.

Re: GUN's BG Jetons

Absolutely beautiful, Gun. Thanks for posting the scans. My favorite is still the Macau 100 gold/purple one that you're currently using as your avatar. That orange 100 with what looks like a smiley face is pretty cool too though.

I am trying to imagine stacks with those insane face colors and I cannot fathom the possibilities.

Anyone out there have a 10 stack of the same denom?

scan is pretty true to appearance, it falls between lime and neon green, not really gold. the numeral is a dark gold for perspective.

jeton is a French word to desribe tokens, coins, or chips. they don't always pertain to gambling, a jeton can be several things used for calculations. B&G jetons are made of plastic, the graphics are printed on a special film which covers the jetons. a gaming jeton is essentially a cousin of the American poker chip.

if you want to read up on the history of B&G, follow the link in the original post.

Re: GUN's BG Jetons

Thanks for the links, but I think in this casino jeton context, my curiosity is still piqued regarding a stack and how it looks.
The single jeton is gorgeous, even though it sounds like a glorified plastic chip with hologram plastics and colors, just wondering about handling characteristics and how it looks in multiples.
How's it feel in the hand?
sound?

I am coming at this in kind of a full use of a chip mentality.
Edgespots in the clay casino context for security and individuality between casinos seems ingrained into all of our brains, just interested in how the jetons handle it.

I am really intrigued by these.

Gun...

Those are great!

Here is one of my favorites. Both sides shown and I believe it is about 44mm.
