It's hard to cover up that bright white with black to counterfeit a $100 chip once they go to production. I imagine this was a "proof" for casino management approval.

"GOLDEN NUGGET" is lower than the surface of the chip, "$100" is level with the surface of the chip, with an indentation around it.

I just "swept" this beauty of a thread out from under the table.....and now I want to know more!!!!
My guess is that this was a run done by a worker for his/her own set. White was in the machine but they wanted to use the golden nuggets mold. Also if they are economical chippers like most of here they could use the $100 as a $1.00. So that might explain the white color combined with the $100. |

Anyway, this chips is known to exist with at least 4 other collectors. None of us know how they came to be and how many were made. It is a Paul-Son mystery.
