And they have a tie to the Dunes Golf Course chips.....
As has been noted here before, the Dunes received the Golf Course chips just before they closed, so the Golf Course issue is known as the Dunes' last issue chips. Well the two uncut sheets (one red and one black) are also the Dunes' last issue cards!
Now what is really interesting, as seen in the scan below, the Ace of Spades shows this to be an Aristocrat deck, which is a division of the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) which has another division called Bicycle, hence the Bicycle logo card, which is blank on the reverse. ( The arrows line up the fronts and backs of the three cards noted in this composite scan.)
So, where did I get these uncut sheets? From the Gamblers General Store (GGS) which is now owned by USPCC, but I bought them several years ago. Evidently, the Dunes last issue cards were supplied by GGS, as printed by USPCC and some sheets went undelivered. If I recall correctly, these were bundled in stacks of several hundred sheets and sold for around $5 per sheet. They are long gone and I wish I had more!
