Chips: 10,505 | | | My non-Wet Chips acquired during the cruise.... I have a brother that lives in Oakland, CA and he knows that I collect chips. In his travels he sometimes picks up chips and gives them to me when we get together. On my cruise we stopped in San Francisco where we met up. A while back he was in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Frankfurt, Germany! He was a little vague about where he got the "All-In Chips tournament chips.
The two Great Canadian Casinos chips were acquired from the Island Princess Casino Manager (the ship we were on). Seems he was a casino employee at the Great Canadian Casino in Victoria, Canada before he joined Ocean Players Club (the casino operating company of Carnival Cruise Lines (which owns Princess)) and when we stopped in Victoria he went to visit old friends at the casino and got these chips for me! Nice guy!
The well worn red chip is an old Bicycle Club, Bell, CA 25 cent chip.
Thanks for looking and by all means please show us what you have!

Chips: 500 | | | Re: My non-Wet Chips acquired during the cruise.... I've got a healthy stack of the $1 Great Canadian Casino chips at home. I use them for shuffling while I am at the computer. I noticed the $1 chips seem to be in much better shape than the $5 due to the lack of games using the $1 chip in that casino (seems to be a $5 minimum on every game). Most of the $5s have very round edges but appear to be in better shape than the one you aquired (no chips in the edges).

Chips: 1,670 | | | Re: My non-Wet Chips acquired during the cruise.... The hub design on the inlay of the $5 chip is nice.
I hope they don't do away with that. It adds alot to the chips look.
Thank you for sharing your chips with us.

I really like the Frankfurt Airport chip (I assume it's Abbiati). The design is so clean and "mod"! But I have to ask: is there really a casino at the Frankfurt airport? Might change some travel plans around here if this is so! |

And yes Professor Poker, there surely is a casino at Frankfurt flughaven, as well as at Amsterdam Schipol airport, and I suspect a few more. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
