$39,000 is just crazy for a chip. If I'm paying $39K for a chip, it better get delivered in a new car that I get to keep. |

Does anyone know the history behind this chip?

39000/.08 (including shipping) = 487,500 chips.
that's practically (not sure, but i think...) enough chips to run the wsopme this year. |

If someone finds a little box of those, that $39,000 chip is now worth $100.
The 1st edition $5 Thunderbird chip is a perfect example. It was worth about $1800+. There was only 3 known.
A guy was at the convention selling a box of them for $10 a chip.
Imagine how those people felt that paid $1800+ for them.

Chips: 947 | | | Re: $39,000 poker chip on ebay I mentioned this auction on another link but was unable to access the auction. Was this reposted? Usually ebay removes auctions after 90 days. Maybe this was a record for them.
I almost bid on the chip when it was at ~$15,000 (just for fun thinking I would easily be out bid.) My wife almost killed me. I got all the way to the part that says "Confirm Bid"
Let's just say, had I done it and won... you never would have heard about me the wife would have seriously killed me (joined chiptalk in Jan. Auction was in Dec.) | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
