| Re: Kansas City area chips Hey Jim,
Great name!
Thanks for sharing these scans with us and thanks also for the PM opportunity (I've already responded).
I don't have my reference materials with me (I'm at the airport), but riverboat chips are a specialty unto themselves. In fact, thechipboard.com that we speak of was the extension of the webmaster's efforts to collect and catalogue riverboat chips. That would be Greg Susong, and Greg has published several versions of his Riverboat Price Guide in which all riverboat chips have a catalogue number (CG, for Chip Guide).
Other than your newest one(s), I'll have to look them up when I get back.
The Vegas chips look great, I really like that first issue Aladdin (the Aladdin Casino and Resort, not to be confused with the earlier iterations of the Aladdin).
I'm not sure what year the Gold Coast chip is, but if you black light it, the PaulSon H&C logo, by size and position, will reveal year of issue. While the Palms B&G shows the date of issue, as do many other Palms chips, but not in a consistent manner, i.e., some are marked on the outer edge.
The Stardust chip will go away at the end of the year and quite possibly before if they decide to remove the Coin-in-Center (CIC) chips from circulation in favor of the new PaulSons.
Again, thanks for the post and scans!
