Has anybody seen the Hilton International P.R. chips? They also are Paul-sons with shaped inlays. Nice looking chips. I'm at work and can't post any scans now, but will try to get some up later unless somebody else beats me to it.
Not sure what kind of availability there is on these chips though. I've obtained a few though and the condition is great.

Hey Jam,
Don't split them up that would be ashame. If you are thinking of selling them sell them as a group. You know I would love to buy that set, but the sticker shock could very well kill me. Anyway let me know if you do want to sell them.
So many people split up nice sets to make a quick buck, not saying you would do that, I'm just saying whole sets of these are rare and it would be nice to keep them together.

Not to worry, Mutt. There will be no sale of the Condados. They have safe haven in Illinois where they will remain together except for the few sample sets that have been arranged. They are happy here you know... |

How would a Condado type inlay look on an ASM? I tried something similar on the color combos I want to get.

Interesting idea. I think the beauty of the Condados is mainly in their elegance and simplicity. The shaped inlays along with the Paul-son H&C mold definitely add to the overall beauty of the chip.
These mock-ups don't work for me. I think it's mainly because of the Horsehead mold. The colors are OK, especially the white chip - love that one. But, the horsehead mold just detracts from the overall feel of the chip. Shaped inlays would be a big improvement too, but I know how hard that would be to get done. Maybe the roman mold?

Personally I prefer the horsehead mold, but the roman looks good with this type of inlay. I wasn't looking for exactness, I just liked the color scheme and the cursive-text inlay mainly. Here is the roman |

Agreed, I tend to like the horsehead mold a lot too.
However, the Roman mold is so very much more appropriate for the mock-up that you're working on. It's like night and day.
Very nice.
