Chips: 10,807 | | | Fearlez, if you like them, then enjoy them, however.... If you are counting on them being from a casino in Sweden, how is it that you know that they are? I do not dispute that they are, but I see a couple of things that are inconsistent with being from a casino, anywhere, as follows:
1. Although you have not shown a reverse, I suspect they are the same on both sides and therefore have no denominations.
2. Non-denominated chips, in a casino environment are used at roulette, so these could be roulettes.
3. However, as roulettes, why are they packed as a poker set? Why are the cards generic, i.e., no casino name? And why are the dice rounded cornered? (Any casino I know of uses square cornered dice, with real sharp edges. Not to mention being hot-stamped with a casino name.)
So, as home-use poker chips, they are fine at 29 cents each, but if the value to you includes being real casino chips, unless you have other supporting information, I don't think these are from a casino.
May I suggest posting the 1st picture on www.thechipboard.com and asking there if they are recognizable as being from Sweden. Or, ask Wilson (here on ChipTalk) if these appear to be Swedish chips, as Wilson has some experience with closed-out, Swedish casino chips.

The seller has multiple sets for sale and almost all of them originally came from Fetish girl, possibly via Wilson. They are the real thing and yes they were roulette chips. The prices on all the chips he is selling are more than fair and if I had more money right now I would buy a few of the sets he is offering... If you like the look of those then go for it, they're good chips...

Chips: 10,807 | | | Well that info sure makes me feel better... It is quite common to see and hear about chips being from a real casino, and in reality they are not. Anyone have any idea what the name of the casino is/was, where it was located (city) and if it is closed/open now?
Thanks,
Jim |

The company had restaurant casinos running all over Sweden until March 2004, when Cherry Casino bought them. The brand name Engdahl is not used anymore. http://cherry.netent.com/cherry_en/index.htm
Yep, these are wheel checks, probably packaged by the guy himself for use as a home poker set.
Wilson probably knows alot more about these than me, though. |

Three colors huh? Now I have to wonder if there were only three colors?

I'm wondering about that too. I've been in contact with another Swedish casino entrepreneur that uses BJ wheelchecks, and they have 20-25 colors. Sadly, only with BJs symbols, no customisation.
On the other hand, if I remember correctly, restaurant casinos are heavily regulated betting-wise. There is a betting roof, so maybe you can manage with only three colors? |
