Anyway, I would definitely be interested in going in with you on any buys that you arrange for chips that can be substantiated and verified. That is, assuming that you don't want them all!

Actually I have not Jamby and I really appreciate this info. I will definately check it out prior to meeting with Lou.
I hope we are discussing this in the right place...but I would gladly share this find with anyone...We are here to share. He is about an hour away from me and said that he puts one of the boxes in an antique mall. The mall then sells the items for him and takes a cut of the profit. He said he would meet me outside and allow me to go through his other boxes and get what I wanted(this way the antique mall does not get part of his profit) I am fairly confident that all his chips are verifiable and worth adding to any collection. It is not about the resale value to me..it's the history behind them and a small piece of poker history.
He stated that some of the chips are mint and of course some show wear and tear. Personally, I like both. I like being able to see the mold and old hotstamps but at the same time like seeing years of play on the chip...gives it character. Anyway, I don't want this to sound like I hit some kind of illegal chip goldmine, but I think there should be some great finds(not to mention hearing more of his stories behind each chip)
One last thing, he also stated that he has some chip trays, dice and other items from some of these casinos. I will check this stuff out and see if there is anything worth having.
