Chips: 10,807 | | | Re: CCGTCC reference CHIPS If your home sets are not here, then they certainly can be, and we'd very much like for them to be listed. Just send individual scans (for each denomination) and let us know quantity, owner, when delivered.
That would be great!

So far I can see: Deadwood Saloon (HP) Key West (HP) Pharaohs (HP) See any others? Others that should be on there: WSOP Chipcos, Vineyard Collectors?, And the ChipTalk.net chips should be here, along with numerous vendors that have a "business chip": http://www.ccgtcc.com/fantasy/advert.htm |

Chips: 1,555 | | | Re: CCGTCC reference CHIPS Originally, the Fantasy and Fakes pages on the CCGTCC web site were intended to tip off collectors on chips that others were selling and trying to pass off as chips from a real casino. Since then, there have been a boatload of commemoratives, customs and other non-casino chips made and the list has been expanded. I believe they are essentially a whole other collectible category in itself. The real concern is trying to point out something that has been faked with the intention of protecting club members who are out there buying chips. That page on the CCGTCC site has come along way. I used to maintain those pages a couple of years ago. It expanded quite a bit since I've moderated it.Chipper |

Chips: 10,807 | | | If I may add the following comments.... David is correct. The page has come a long, long ways since it was first developed. Much of it was initially devoted to PaulSon retail store chips and Borland chips.
The PaulSon retail store chips were made by the tens of thousands, if not the 100's of thousands. Gunfighters, Indians, Presidents, automobiles, airplanes, dogs, Generals, bogus casinos: Pyramid, Casino de Ithimus..., Viva Las Vegas and blanks. Generally speaking, PaulSon reserved certain colors and edge spot (we call them "inserts") configurations for these retail chips., which they would not use for their legitimate casino runs.
Meanwhile, Borland chips (a history unto themselves) showed real casino names, but with open and close dates. These were obviously not real casino chips, but only really recognized by experienced collectors. Newbies and others on eBay were tricked by sales of these souvenir chips. When the Borlands became a little collectible, it was discovered that there were fake Borlands. Sticker inlays, appearing very similar to Borland open/close dated inlays were being stuck on PaulSon retail store chips.
I have two. The sticker says Landmark, but the real inlay is Casino de Ithimus.... (which by the way are not "real" James Bond chips). (Another long story.)
So, in the beginning, life was simple. We had PaulSon retail store chips to contend with, some Borlands and a few "unkowns". Turns out that many of the unknowns were remnants of home poker sets. Turns out now that there are many, many, many!!!! home poker sets to contend with. So this is a good place to document their existence, please.
