Chips: 6 | | | B & G I just went to a new casino the other day (Lucky Chances in Colma, California) and they were playing with some ceramics. But not Chipco or Nevada Jack. The small security lettering looked like "BG" but I can not be sure. Does anyone know who makes these? I'll post a pic later as I am at work and do not have access to the chip and camera here. Any information on these would be great.
**pics to come**
Thanks,

While I like Chipco's, they do have some faults. I'd welcome another ceramic or clay manaufacturer. The color schemes that B&G use look nice in my opinion. I'll hvae to get some samples of those chips soon. |

Chips: 10,507 | | | Re: B & G - FYI PaulSon, Bud Jones and B & G, are all one company, doing business as Gaming Partners International (GPI). However, they still have their established product lines and use their initials on chips, where required by gaming regulation. For example, in Nevada, regulations require that the chip manufacturer be identified on each chip. B & G uses the joined "BG", Bud Jones uses "BJ" and PaulSon uses a UV hat and cane. Chipco uses "CI". Some well known places, like T.R. King are not licensed in Nevada. I am not sure what Blue Chip is using, but they are lisenced in Nevada.
Also, the ceramic product of B & G is slightly larger (in diameter) of conventional chips in Nevada. If I am not mistaken, they are 40 mm, when every one else is 39 mm.
Hey "Casino Man" great plaques! Got any traders?
And speaking of great looking B & G plaques, I am very partial to this set... |

Chips: 6 | | | Re: B & G Here is a picture of the chip that got this thread started. It's got great weight and stacks really well too. they seemed just a tad bigger than my Pharaos but the web site says they are 39mm. Great graphics, i think something like these would be a great addition to a home game set. |

Chips: 84 | | | Re: B & G Yeah, B&G are nice chips. Nicked one, a ceramic, (not 100% sure it's b€g, but pretty much) the last time i went to a club, and yeah, they do seem to be somewhat larger. The finish is diffrent (linen?) and appeals more to me then chipcos. Another plus compared to chipco is that i actually can't find a nipple on the rolling edge... those nipples bother me, kinda makes the chip seem cheap.
Impossible for me to hear any diffrence in sound, and as for stacking i just have to few of any ceramic to compare.
Now, i don't have all that much experince from ceramics, but to my little knowledge in the subject, B&G seem like a nicer chip. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
