I just got back from Atlantic City today. This is the first time since I joined chiptalk and man did I find myself obsessing over the chips. The molds, colors, inlays. Over at Ceasers they have a custom mold with the casinos name on them. I was handling the $1, $5, $25 chips and they looked okay but what really threw me was how they felt. My 10g Sopranos felt nicer. These chips had a matte finish to them and were incredibly slick. It was difficult to do anything with them. Can anyone tell me who makes them?
Some people here may not like you saying that, but those are Paulson House Mold chips. I'm not sure which ones you had, but both the old and new racks (they recently changed their chips) but both were Paulson House Molds, the new ones have Giant inlays, the old rack had standard shaped inlays.

The chips i was playing with were as slick as the nexgens. I played with some tournament th&c chips over at Riverboat and they felt much better, the way I think a Paulson should feel. They were solid color with no inlay.
The solid colored hot-stamped chips will almost always adhere and stack better, regardless of the manufacturer (compression molded chips only) as they are bare and do not have the laminate that is applied over the chip on top of the inlay. The one exception to this rule seems to be the Paulson's from Trademark that seem to only have the laminate applied over the inlay. In the case of the Paulson's with the Giant inlays, a good portion of the inlay is extended beyond the intended inlay area and rests on the edge of the chip that provides much of the "grip", so that surface is gone.

Cesars uses the solid color hot stamped TH&C for there tournies also. Im not a big fan of there giant inlay chips either.
