My girlfriend wanted a $2.50 chip from Borgata so she has it now. You can go to that site and see it anyways.

the bike

the Bicycle casino also uses bud jones chips.
everytime i am there when i get a semi cracked one in my hand I break it.
first by pealing of the inlay sticker and then by popping out the bronze insert.
the dealers always make me trade it to them for a good one though.

on a side note, the Bike uses custom house mold paulsons for their 50 cent chips. i walked out of there last week with 100 of them for my $0.50-$1.00 NL home game.

paulson chips for 50 cents a piece!

only place you can get a better deal is at a garage sale!

Is this at all possible? If it is, then heavy casino use could just as easily create these conditions. Not sure if that makes any sense though.

Re: Borgata chips (PICS)

The insert is brass. Let me know if you figure out a way to magnatize brass . The suction effect is the result of a slight concave in the surface in the Bud Jones chips. No magnets, no hocus-pocus.

Also, don't believe everything you read on the Internet, especially some of the claims that you see on message boards, they could have you believing things at both ends of the spectrum when neither is correct

Most of the Chinese import chips use steel inserts that can indeed be magnitized, though not very likely as a result of friction or static.

Hope you didn't break that chip just to illustrate that the insert was brass.

lol

no, it was cracked when I got it. I already knew what was inside, but I wanted to take a picture, so I broke it the rest of the way and took pics. I had it stored at imageshack so I just pulled it up.

Re: Borgata chips (PICS)

Definitely good info. I have the $1 chip myself. A buddy brought one back from a recent business trip, including a Foxwoods $1 one too.
