I saw one (actually three machines integrated into one bank) at The Orleans, Las Vegas.

It is a CC>CC chip! And also a Paul-Son sample chip! And Fiesta Hotel & Casino advertising chip!, yes, 3 chips in one!
Issued as a tribute by the Fiesta Hotel & Casino (then owned by the Maloof's, current owners of the Palms, but now called the Fiesta Rancho (owned by Station Casinos) and Paul-Son (now GPI) to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the CC>CC. These were given out (as I recall) to CC>CC Convention attendees!
These were probably the idea of Gene Trimble, who at the time was the Bingo and Keno Manager at the Fiesta and also in charge of their Limited Edition chip program. Previously, Gene was in charge of the LE chip program at the Four Queens and he also went with the Maloof's to the Palms, where he has twice served as the Poker Room Manager and is also in charge of the Palms LE chip Program. (It is no small wonder why the Queens, Fiesta and Palms take up multiple pages in the chip price guides, Gene is a very prolific guy when it comes to LE chip programs in Las Vegas!)
Gene and Paul-Son have a long history! It's a nice chip. I have one in my collection!

Chips: 10,807 | | | Re: Anyone collect Mfg or Dist Chip Samples? I have a thing about single insert chips.
I have a thing about octagons and over-sized chips.
This Chipco advertising set is also a stacker set.
I love the frisbee at the bottom left!
All for now.

J(GO)F | Thanks a lot Jim! Interesting history.. I'm happy to have one in my collection.
On a side note.. I love the "frisbee" chip too. I just got one in the mail a few weeks ago..its gigantic! Too bad Matsui won't do the hologram or gold ring inlay for the home market.. those would be some bada$$ customs! |

Chips: 10,807 | | | Re: Anyone collect Mfg or Dist Chip Samples? I had forgotten about this one. But it is now on it's way to James Campiglia. I had it on eBay for about 4 hours and James nailed the BIN!
Interesting sample/example chip. Made by Bud Jones for the Luxor when it were part of Mandalay Resorts. Not sure why the Luxor opted to not use it, nor do I know why Bud Jones did not offer it as a notched chip?
There were at least two version of this chip. Identical in all respects, except the gold-foil hot-stamping is mirror-like on one version, and matte (or mottled) on the other version.

Where can I find one? | Funny! I didn't even realize the address was ironical! Believe it or not, I think I pulled this out of one those many "junk bins" (plastic tubs) the dealers always seem to have at the chip shows. Usually labled, $3 each, or 3 for $5, or something similar. As I said, it got my attention because I like purposely made, non-symetrical inserts. (In my earlier post I said single insert, but I also have another chip that has 3 inserts, side-by-side-by-side, which gives the same appearance.)
Thanks,

Chips: 10,807 | | | Re: Anyone collect Mfg or Dist Chip Samples? You any where near Barnegat? A local antique dealer there is big time into chips and movie memorabilia. I actually have his junk bin stored at my place in Vegas so he does not have to ship it cross country for the big show.
AC shows are few and far between. Next show up is Reno. I try to post them in the Events Forum here in the Collector's Corner.
LMK if you need more info about the Barnegat guy.
