Re: Crown Casino, Melbourne

They have a chip design program that you can download. Sounds like a group buy invitation to me. They look like Matsui's to me.
I'm going to shoot them an e-mail. What city are they in?

Re: Crown Casino, Melbourne

I tried to send an e-mail, but it kicked me out when I tried to send it. I will try again Saturday. They look like nice chips. Samples would be nice.

Do you know if Star City in Sydney are doing the same? I know they use dolphin chips as well.

I am heading to Sydney (actually closer to Paramatta) on business the first part of March and will probably make a stop at Star City.

Re: Crown Casino, Melbourne

No information on Star City, I'm afraid.

While I'm unlikely to end up with as nice a collection as `ash I'm thinking of picking up some 1's when I have a chance and doing a mini-review of dolphin chips. I only have 1 at the moment so it's hard to measure stacking etc.

Regards,

David.

I live in Sydney.

Star City has been using the cheap crappy chips for their .25 and their .75 chips and they will eventually change their $1 chips over too, but for now they will stay the same. Their current $1 chip stock is less than a year old, so it will take a while before they have to start ordering them again.

Dolphin does not deal with individuals and their chips are not nearly as nice as Matsui Decals.

Dolphin uses the same type of proces to make their chips are Matsui but their materials are different. Dolphins are not metal-slugged and thus lighter. Also the molding on Matsuis are much sharper - you'll often see some bleeding on the Dolphins.

The reason casinos like the Dolphins is because they're now RFID chipped (which is easy since they dont have that metal core) and they're cheaper than BJs.
