Can you really go load up on a rack of .25 Paulson chips from the MGM Grand in Detroit? That sounds like the best deal on a Paulson chip yet.
.25c for Casino Paulsons is awsome, however, I'm not sure that you can walk out with a ton of them. Maybe a handful or two....Along with the $1, the .25c would make a hell of a cash set....

My two recent experiences with trying this so far might shed some light on at least the Detroit casinos.
-MGM Grand: I started at the main cage, which told me to go to the tables; I approached the floorman at one of the Blackjack tables, and she asked me how many quarters I was after. I told her "oh, about 10 or 20", and she actually gasped. Uh oh...so then I explained after she called her boss over that no, I wasn't trying to buy up a bunch of chips to create my own custom set at home. They sent me to the "high stakes" room (I think it was mis-labelled) to ask the floorman at the Pai Gow tables there; he pretty much told me the same thing ("go to the cage"). After another go-round of this, I was able to come away with roughly 10 .25¢ chips on my first visit there.
The next time I went, about a week or so later, I was able to get more individual chips via all the teller windows I could visit (and I was extremely charming to all the tellers, who worked hard to get me all the chips they could muster). I waved to the floormen, one of whom asked me to follow him and a security guard to a back room so they could speak with me. Uh oh...
-Greektown: as difficult as it was getting quarter chips from MGM Detroit, it was damn nigh impossible to do so from Greektown. I was lucky to walk away with 8 total (and I had to return 3 of those as unusable). The tellers flat-out refused to sell me any chips, the tables kept trying to send me to the tellers or the poker room (which had no chips under the dollars), and the Pai Gow floorman said absolutely no more than four, period. End of discussion (unless I wanted to go to the back room again. I passed.)
If I have a chance, I'll try Motor City soon. But I have no plans on trying to get a set of any number of quarter chips any time soon, now that I've been profiled by at least one if not both of the Detroit casinos I've visited so far. The only way I'd try it again is if I called ahead and spoke with the big boss about it. But "sir, I would like to buy a couple hundred of your .25¢ chips to provide a bunch of chip talk nuts a chance to fondle them" just doesn't seem like something he'd want to hear.
