Both of these chips are from California and I received both of them from an employee that worked at both locations. The Pechanga is a Native American gaming operation. This error chip is a product of RTP (Gamblers General Store). The correct denomination is $5.
The ever familiar H&C on the Lake Elsinore cardroom chip tells us that Paul-Son was responsible for this error. The correct denomination is $2.
Very interesting that casinos would get error chips. How do they handle such chips? Treat them by color or denomination. I assume once they are discovered they are removed from circulation.

To my knowledge they are definately removed. I suspect that it is the based color that is used to determine denomination.
